Stage 13

"The most beautiful view of Gastein Valley"

Directions:

Just as with stage 12, this route also follows one of Gastein’s running trails, the "Franz Klammer Trail"
As we leave the car park, we head through the railway underpass to the main highway, cross the stream and then turn left onto K. H. Waggerl street.

Immediately afterwards, the trail continues down the Palfnerstrasse and up to the Windischgrätzhöhe (highest point of the stage, 1,220 m). Now via a forest and meadow path, the trail crosses beneath the Graukogel lifts and finally reaches the Alpengasthaus Rudolfshöhe. The trail continues along this inn’s access road and crosses the Kötschachtaler Strasse. It is now steady downhill along a forest path to the Kaiser Wilhelm-Promenade, which ends at the Kötschachtal car park.
