Finish Point: Stubnerkogel lift, car park at the valley terminal
Lowest Point / Highest Point: 1000 m / 1589 m
Total Elevation Change (in meters): 20 m
Length of Stage: ca. 10 km

Time on Trail: ca. 2.5 Stunden

Reaching the trail head: Assuming we don’t wish to use our own car, we can take the bus out to the start of the next stage.
The Almenweg follows the toll road as far as the power station, there branching off to the left and descending to the stream. It now switches over to the left side of the stream by crossing the Lange Brücke bridge and then continues to the Kesselfall bridge. At the Höhe Astenalmen (refreshment opportunity), the trail feeds into a forestry road and subsequently onto a paved road. Shortly after the Gasthof Evianquelle, we once again reach the toll road. Then, after about 300 metres, we turn off to the left towards Böckstein. Our hike now takes us through town and alongside the river via the Kaiserin Elisabeth-Promenade, until we reach the base station for the Stubnerkogel lifts. Important! Due to construction work the Stubnerkogel lift will not be running during summer 2009!
Incidentally, this stage is identical with the "Toni Sailer Running Trail".
