Many of the Pongau region's chair lifts and cable cars run in the summer, too, giving you a quick, comfortable way to get to the start of your hike.  But please remember, lifts generally only run in favorable weather conditions!  If the weather is a little unsettled, be sure to check at one of the many local information points.
